The Sylvia Ang Film Festival originated in Niagara in 2010 when multi-media artist Sylvia Ang, facing deportation, left two memory cards with Niagara Falls artists CD Onofrio and Katie Webb. The memory cards were filled with stunning video moments under ten seconds and inspired a festival to celebrate the power of the short video format.
