THE BLUEBERRY BLUES
Andrés Livov | Canada | 2026 | 90m
In Lac-Saint-Jean, summer arrives in shades of blue. As the region’s famous wild blueberries ripen, harvesters from different generations and backgrounds return to the fields for a short season before the first frost. Through interwoven stories, music and everyday moments, The Blueberry Blues offers a warm portrait of a region gathered around its emblematic fruit, and the people whose lives intersect there each summer.
Andrés Livov began his career at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires before studying fine arts at York University and moving to Montreal in 2008. His documentary work focuses on people, memory and everyday life, with films including A Place Called Los Pereyra and Language Is a Love Story. The Blueberry Blues is his third feature documentary.
