We Lend a Hand: The Forgotten Story of Ontario Farmerettes

Colin Field | Canada | 2025 | 50m

The extraordinary story of a contingent of 40,000 teenage girls who volunteered on Canadian farms and helped to win the Second World War.

Much of the history related to the Farmerettes occurred in the Niagara region between 1941-1952. Most of the footage in this film was shot at historic farms in the beautiful Niagara Peninsula. If ever there were a film relevant to Niagara, this is it!
