A hands-on workshop with Lindsay McIntyre exploring 16mm film, handmade photographic materials, natural processing techniques and direct-on-film experimentation.

A low-stakes experimental improvisation, intended to be ephemeral. More than that, it’s an opportunity to hang with artists and make stuff together. The Niagara arts community is mighty and this Drop In Lab expands our ideas of collaborative art-making.

Learn the foundations of rotoscoping through this hands-on workshop. Beginning with some historical and contemporary examples, we'll grow our understanding of animation through this beautiful process, using DragonFrame software as well as DIY approaches. We'll work with pencil, ink, paint, sand and more to create a hand-drawn collaborative loop.

Ever wanted to be a filmmaker? This event is a beginner workshop in scriptwriting and screenwriting. Participants will have an opportunity to create a brief outline for a script and work on a scene of dialogue within that script. This is a low-stakes, fun way to start developing a future film to submit to the Mighty Niagara Film Festival and beyond!
